Hotel Salobrena Suites - Final Day Pat

 8th April

Up early for the journey back home. The first hitch came at Malaga airport trying to find the ‘assisted’ area. Several airport staff gave me directions which were completely wrong and it was only luck that the hotel Rep was in the airport at the time who recognised me and took me to the right place. The departure was also delayed but at least the time was made up during the flight. No problems at Gatwick until the Holiday company transport picking up their guests to take them home found that they were one driver too few which caused a further delay. Eventually I arrived home at 4.15p.m. a bit later than I had originally expected but had the luxury of a sit down and a rest while Terry prepared and cooked dinner,

As glad as I was to be home I have to say that I enjoyed my holiday. The hotel was much better than I expected considering the very reasonable price I paid. My room was quite spacious and newly renovated with a nice balcony and a full-on sea view. The  restaurant area and the food was fine as was all the other amenities and staff.

This hotel was remote and perfect for twitchers and ramblers and for those of us not so mobile the shuttle service from the hotel was excellent, offering a variety of destinations which I took full advantage of. The only downside was the poor WiFi which was intermittent and weak even in the areas where you would expect it to be at its strongest.

It was unfortunate that the other guests within our group were people that I just could not get on with and avoided as much as I could. As a person who is quite happy with her own company this didn’t bother me that much but was an irritant all the same.

As ever, I now have to sort out my suitcase and start the process of washing and ironing.

I will now hand back the blog to Terry until my next holiday in approx. 3 weeks.

                                               Bye Bye.
