Hotel Salobrena Suites - Day 6 PAT
March 30th
The clocks went forward this morning which would have meant the loss of one hours sleep but I am on holiday so I chose to stay in bed a little longer and go to breakfast a little later to make up for it. Such luxury.
It was my intention to sit outside in the sunshine this morning reading but it got a bit windy so I went back inside and finally finished my Peter Robinson book there.
After lunch I stayed in my room and hoped to, perhaps, sit on the balcony but even there the wind put paid to that so I watched some programs that I had downloaded on my iPad before I came away. I also face-timed Terry to make sure he hadn’t fallen off the shed. I don’t know why I asked him how he was getting on with it because I don’t even like talking about it. It seems that he will still be at it all day tomorrow so I still can’t rest easy. One image that does come into my mind is Terry lying on his back on top of the shed looking up at the sky just like Snoopy the dog. Best cling onto that one.
Dinner as usual and then off to watch Flamenco dancing. I don’t really find it very entertaining but it’s better than the line dancers when they take over a whole evening which has happened on a couple of my latest holidays. Each to their own I suppose. I left after a short time because it was somewhat amateurish and went to my room ready for a relatively early night.
Other than the wind it’s been another lovely day and a restful one too and I’m glad that I decided to come to this hotel even this early in the year. To be honest it was Terry that originally booked this hotel for himself for May but when I decided to have an additional early holiday I followed his lead and have beaten him to it. Shame on me.
