Hotel Salobrena Suites - Day 3 PAT

 27th March

Another day and another trip on the shuttle but this time to Grenada. This turned out to be a bit of a fiasco and certainly did not go according to plan. We left late morning and were taken to a point on the edge of Grenada where we would catch a bus/train vehicle which would either take us on a round trip or we could get off and on at various stops. It seems that mode of transport is about as reliable as the Reggae buses in Barbados but not as much fun. These bus/trains were either full, or close to, so our group had to split up. Angela and I were the first to get on one of these vehicles and the Rep told us to get off at Stop 3 where she would meet us but gave no time and we never did link up. Not knowing what to do Angela and I found a place to have a leisurely lunch after which we got a cab back to where the shuttle would be. I asked the Rep why she didn’t meet us as arranged but she said that she was there but couldn’t find us. Not very satisfactory. We saw very little of Grenada and, once again, I could go back later in the holiday if I wish. Another one to think about.

It was well into the afternoon before we got back to the hotel but there was time to get ready for dinner, have a drink in the lounge and a chat with some other guests, a married couple and another lady. They were very pleasant company and we decided to have dinner together and afterward teamed up for the ensuing quiz night. Needless to say we didn’t win but I’m really proud that I actually got two of the answers. That’s better than my usual contribution to quizzes. Is it my fault that the people setting the quizzes don’t ask the right questions?

Despite the Grenada mix-up it had still been a nice day and I am lucky that the other guests are very nice and sociable. The weather is still fine and overall I can honestly say that I am having a good time.

I didn’t need to face-time Terry tonight because he was entertaining a lady friend (Keri).for the evening. Time then to get ready for bed, have a short read of my book and then off to sleep.
